If you feed it twice per month using a quality fertilizer, it will grow to be healthy.
Keep in consideration that Turmeric farming will take 10 months from the time of planting. Their leaves are edible, but mostly the plant is farmed because of the root. Herbs can be harvested in growing season, but it is better to harvest all together when they are matured. You can save some rhizomes if you want to plant it in next season. If you are planning to plant during winter, then you can harvest before first frost, but the quantity of product will be reduced.
